New Years Bowling

We spent our New Years day with some family bowling! We didn't venture out on New Years Eve so we thought we'd take the kids out for some fun the following day. We went bowling, had pizza then played a few games in the arcade! It was a great family day and the kids had a lot of fun!! Jay got a little competitive because I was beating him BIG time, ha ha!! I bowled my best game and Jay tried so hard to catch up! He even used his famous curve ball but that didn't help much either, ha ha!!

Beeman-Evans-Haigh Christmas!

4 years ago was when we had a Christmas like this. This wasn't quite like the one we had 4 years ago due to changes in our family, Mom was unfortunately not able to be here. However, this was a wonderful Christmas. We had a full house and enjoyed every minute together. Dad flew in on the 23rd, which was a day earlier than our original plan (thanks to the weather!!). It was a blessing to have that extra day!

Christmas Eve...the kids opening two gifts each and a stocking!

Late Christmas Eve night Christy and her family arrived! We put all the kids to bed then 4 hours later the two little girls were up peeking at the presents, ha ha! I put them both back to bed and two short hours later all the kids were up and ready!!! Once the coffee was made we got started on presents! Grandad began handing out the gifts then had help from Jay because there were so many!!

The day after Christmas we all took a trip up to DC to see Arlington National Cemetery, the Lincoln Memorial and then had dinner at TGI Fridays! It was a fun day!!

Dad left on Sunday along with Christy and her family. We took Dad to the airport and it was a tough goodbye.

I am so thankful I was able to spend this Christmas with my family. I do wish that my mom could have been a part of everything but I know there are many more days in the year that will provide us an opportunity to see her. I loved spending this quality time with my dad. It's been a long time since I've had one on one time with my dad and I really enjoyed it.

She's 8, Going on 54!

Our beloved Suzi has turned 8 years old!!! She is such a wonderful dog!! For an 8 year old Boston Terrier she has so much energy that she loves to share with us! She was completely spoiled on her birthday! The kids had a lot of fun shopping at the pet store for her goodies. Suzi loved everything she got but of course her favorite was her bone!! We love our little Suzi and hope we get to celebrate many more birthdays with her!!
