Finally, the last birthday party of the year for us! Caitlyn's birthday party was held yesterday and it turned out great...even with the sudden change in plans! We originally had planned to have the party down at the park so there wouldn't be that big of a mess here at home. Well, about 30 minutes before her party was set to start the wind come rolling thru and it was on full speed! I watched as dirt was kicked up and the trees were swaying. I made a call to see if we could get one of the recreational rooms. At first, no such luck but then God blessed us and Lincoln was able to get us indoors!! So glad because that wind was nasty!! With an hour to spare we got the place decorate and Caitlyn waited for her friends.
Once everybody got there the party started right away, seeing as how we only had two hours. Which ended up being just enough time! Caitlyn and her friends ate pizza, played at the park and played with goodies from the goodie boxes. A little girls party requires lots of aspirin on hand, haha!! These girls were running around screaming the entire time! But it was so much fun watching and even listening to them!! I let the kids invite who they want to invite now. It's no longer parties that end up being more for the adults than for the kids. She chose who she wanted to come and all but one showed up. We missed you, Nick...hope you feel better!!

We woke up this morning and it was amazing outside. The kids and I ate breakfast, got our warm clothes on and headed outside for some more fun in the snow...before it all melted away! I took them and two of their friends across the street to the big open field where none of the snow had been touched. It was wide open spaces for them to run around. Suzi came too and had a blast!! With the sun beating down on us it did get a little warm which prompted the kids to remove a layer, haha! It was fun just watching them play.
