Morning on the Range

Just a few pictures from our time at the Driving Range this morning. Jay has two days off and this morning he wanted to go hit some balls.  He wanted to do an actual 9 holes but we decided it probably wasn't best with my back and because Im still somewhat recovering from the whole surgery thing.  Being at the driving range was a lot of fun.  I wasn't too sure about it and I had a lot of trouble in the beginning but I ended up enjoying myself and I got better! Jay of course, out-golfed me so he had a great time! LOL!

Sunday Update

We seem to have survived the first week of school without any major issues! It was a great week, in fact. The kids did great and both of them had nothing but good things to say when they got home from school. Mom was pleased!! It was quite the busy week though. Between school, football and daily routine...we were all pooped by the end of the day!

We started off the weekend by taking the kids to a movie. We went and saw Zookeeper. It was pretty cute! The kids giggled the whole time!! Yesterday, Jeannie and I woke up super early so we could hold a garage sale together. We didn't have a big turnout but we did make a few extra bucks! Later that night we had some friends over for a BBQ. Our friend Anna came who we don't get to see too often but it's always nice when we do get to see her! And of course, The Bell Family was here. Us girls had a good time catching up and reminiscing about some past times. We made it to bed around midnight so today will most definitely be our lazy day!! Jay & Cory will be headed off to a birthday party later this afternoon for one of Cory's teammates. I have tons of laundry to do and I'm sure Caiti will be here asking me who she can go play with! LOL!!

Jason ended a cycle at work and they were given Monday and Tuesday off so we will actually have two days all to ourselves while the kids are in school! We both are looking forward to that! It'll get the week started off on a good note! :) I'll also be having lunch with my friend, Candice, on Wednesday. Just some time to catch up since we didn't see eachother much over the Summer....even though she lives right up the road, LOL!! Cory has a scrimmage tomorrow (Monday) night so there definitely will be pictures up after that!! Stay tuned....

Back 2 School

Cory and Caiti's first day back to school went great! Everything ran smoothly in the morning. Both of them got up on time with no griping! Got ready and had a few extra minutes to spare before it was time to walk to the bus stop! If only every day could go as good as that one did, lol!!  Caiti got home first and it was so nice when she ran up and gave me a big hug! She had a smile on her face and that made me happy because I knew that meant she had a good day! Cory came home shortly after Caiti and he too gave me a big hug! I love those two!!! I have asked Cory twice now if he likes his teacher and each time I ask him, he smiles then says yes.  His smile puts ease in my heart! I am so glad that both my kids are starting off the school year on a good note and I hope the rest of the year just gets better for them!!  

  Cory also started Safety Patrol on his first day.  He said they were not doing much besides going over rules and such.  His job will be Flag Duty and Bus Duty. I'm not sure what each of those entails but I know that Cory will let me know once he gets completely warmed up to his duties! :) 

Tomorrow is the Big Day!

Well, tomorrow Cory and Caitlyn are heading back to school! Cory is heading into 5th grade and Caiti is heading into 1st grade! Today, we went to their schools to meet their teachers and see their classrooms. Cory is going to be attending Burrows Elementary School for the 2nd year in a row. His teacher this year is Mrs. Ward.  She seems to be a nice lady who takes teaching serious! Caiti is going to Russell Elementary School for the 3rd year in row.  Her teacher is Mrs. Barron.  She had Mrs. Barron last year and since Mrs. Barron and Caiti both "moved up" to the first grade they are stuck together again! LOL!! Caiti is so excited...she loves Mrs. Barron.  So do I...she is a great teacher who really works hard with the kids! We are all looking forward to tomorrow and the rest of the school year! Pictures will be posted tomorrow!!

Together Again

After a long Summer without our 2nd Family here in Virginia we finally got to spend a warm Summer Day with The Bell girls!! We went out for lunch, got some Slurpees then headed over to the playgrounds at Caiti and Maddies school.  We just let the kids run around and play while Jeannie and I sat and chatted away as usual! We sure did miss them this Summer!!!

Today, Jason is playing in his very first Golf Tournament here on base.  He is playing with 3 other guys from work.  Jay just took up the whole golf thing but really loves it!! He was so excited but a little nervous about this morning.  I told him that the whole golf style looks good on him!!! The kids and I are hoping to get out there and watch him swing a few so there may be more pictures to come!  Good luck, baby!
