you'll know exactly what this one is
all about! In the photo to the right is a picture of "the guilty party", the three boys involved in the golfing incident! I decided that one of Cory's punishment would be picking up trash in our neighborhood. That consisted of 4 streets and 2 parks. My friend, the mom of the other two, thought it was a good idea so I let her know when we were going and they came along with us. Us moms followed behind as we pointed out trash and made sure the boys didn't go anywhere unsafe or pick up anything that would harm them.
Since Cory was the one that actually hit the ball thru the window he was the lucky one that got to pick up a dirty diaper, LOL!!! His face says it all!

The boys did a really good job and to our surprise the neighborhood was not that dirty. They filled up 3 1/2 grocery bags of trash. Crazy thing...Cory actually enjoyed doing this!!! Who knows...maybe it'll be something he can do just to help keep our neighborhood clean!
Then we came home cleaned up a little bit and after lunch I got the pool ready for the kids. We went out and had some fun playing in the water. I then decided to put Caitlyn down for a nap so I could have some time to myself as Cory was outside playing with the boys and that usually lasts about 4 to 5 hours! Caitlyn went straight to sleep (not usual for her, but I wasn't complaining) and I sat down on the couch, put my feet up and began watching movies on Lifetime. Once that movie was over I decided to make dinner, Chicken and Broccoli Alfredo...one of my favorites!! Dinner was ready so I went outside to tell Cory it was time to come in and what do I see??? About 5 adults standing around looking at a window. I stand there for a minute thinking to myself "what happened?", "why is everybody standing around?"...I then call over and ask what happened and well.....Cory hit a golf ball thru a neighbors window!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OH MY GOSH!!! No, he didn't!! He couldn't have!! Not in the short amount of time it was since I last came out here. At that point my quite and peaceful Mothers Day came to a screeching halt!! After reaming Cory and getting a much needed phone call from Jason I calmed down. I began thinking to myself....WOW, What a hitter!! LOL!!! Guess I have to find the humor in it somewhere! You'll see below in the picture the nice, perfect circle on the window...that is where the ball went thru.
Thank God nobody was hit by the ball! Cory is not looking forward to the punishments ahead. Like I told him, he is VERY VERY lucky his dad was not here for this!!! Kids will be kids but moms have to be moms and so begins the long list of punishments! Good luck, Cory!!

On May 3rd Legoland was having a special day called "Kids are Worth a Million" thru the Carlsbad Education Foundation. We took advantage of this because tickets were way less than what we would have paid on a regular day! Jenny and I packed up the kids and headed down bright and early. This place is absolutely amazing. All the work and detail they put into making all these structures is mind-blowing!
