Back to the 50's!

On Saturday we went to the "Back to the 50's" car show at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds. There was over 11,000 old cars there. It was a ton of fun. We walked around, checked out all the cars--of course not seeing all 11,000 of them--we ate some yummy fair food and I got a call from Jason!!! The day could not have ended better!! Sending a Hello to Daddy

I had to take my car in to get serviced after the long drive up here and while we were there one of the salesman gave the kids each a balloon. When we got home the kids just kind of forgot about the balloons and they began to just become a nuisance in the house. I decided we would send them off to daddy. A little way of saying Hello and We Love You. They each gave their balloons a kiss and then let them go and said "we love you, daddy". It was really sweet and as I watched the balloons fly away it really made me feel a little bit closer to him.

One thing I love about Minnesota is it's never too hot to sit outside and enjoy the sun! We take advantage of that everyday. We decided to take some photos while enjoying the nice weather outside.

It's nice having some green in the background for a change!!

Our First Main Attraction....

...WAS THE UNITED HOSPITAL ER!!!!

MOM BEGAN TO FEEL SOME PAIN IN HER KNEE ON SUNDAY MID-AFTERNOON NOT THINKING TOO MUCH OF IT UNTIL LATER IN THE EVENING WHEN IT STILL HAD NOT GONE AWAY. HER KNEE WAS VERY SORE AND VERY SWOLLEN. WE ATTEMPTED URGENT CARE BUT THEY SAID THERE WASN'T ANYTHING THEY COULD DO. THE NEXT MORNING SHE WOKE ME UP ASKING ME TO CALL THE DOCTOR FOR HER TO FIGURE OUT WHAT TO DO. THEY TOLD HER TO GO TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM TO HAVE IT CHECKED OUT. SO WE DID....

AFTER 2 1/2 HOURS IN THE WAITING ROOM SHE WAS KNOCKED OUT!

MOM NEEDED TO GO TO TARGET TO FIND A BETTER PAIR OF SHOES TO SUPPORT HER KNEE WHILE AT WORK. SHE HAD TO USE THE ELECTRONIC WHEELCHAIR!! LOL!!!

IT WAS AN INTERESTING DAY. FROM 10:30AM UNTIL 3:30PM WE WERE IN THE EMERGENCY ROOM. THE DOCTOR BELIEVES IT IS A MENISCAL (SP??) TEAR. MOM IS VERY HARD-HEADED SO WE WERE BICKERING IN THE ROOM. THE PEOPLE NEXT TO US PROBABLY THOUGHT WE WERE CRAZY, LOL!!

We've only been here 3 days now and I am starting to think my dad's not going to last the next two months, LOL!!! The kids have been running him down! From bike riding to building mega block and having pillow fights the kids just won't slow down!! I'm sure my dad enjoys it though!! It's usually Nanny that the kids run to but they have been having so much fun with their Grandad and I just love seeing it!! It must be the fact that Daddy is not here and they miss that male figure in their lives and now Grandad is there so they are not going to leave him alone!!

Road Trip!

Well, our trip was a success!! The kids did much better than I thought and we had a fun drive to Minnesota! Suzi and Max did so well in the car except whenever I would stop or slow down they both would get very excited or nervous. We drove thru 7 states....California, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Nebraska, Iowa and Minnesota. We made a stop in Colorado Springs to see some family which was very nice and then we headed out after an entire day of much needed rest. Here are the pictures from our trip...
