A Rare Site

Usually taking a picture by myself consists of telling my kids to move out of the way, LOL!! But not today...I had Jenny snap a picture of me and me alone without having to push my kids aside!! I can't believe that the time has come where I am actually kid free, even if it will only be for 3 hours! I'll take what I can get!!

Spring Into Preschool Readiness!

After hearing all the talk about her brother going to school Caitlyn wanted in on some of the fun! She's been asking me for a while now when she was going to go to school. I finally decided to give in and put her in a program here on base. She was so excited and I was amazed at how well she did. I thought back to when Cory started Preschool Readiness (when I was pregnant with Caitlyn) and he had a FIT!!! He did not want me to leave him. They are very different and I see that clearly now!

Welcome to 2nd Grade!

After waking up this morning and losing a tooth, Cory headed back to school! He started Cory 2nd grade this year and we are looking forward to him learning a lot in his new class with his new teacher.

Summer Vacation...

...is just about done! This is the last weekend before both, yes both of the kids head back to school!! We decided to spend a few hours up at the pool since the heat is still hitting pretty hard here. Here are a few pictures from our day today.

Caitlyn has really taken to the water this summer. Not too long ago she wanted nothing to do with the pool and now she is like a little mermaid. Swimming back and forth in the pool, with my help of course. She has become so sure of herself that she decided to sneak in the pool today while I wasn't looking and even went under the water. Luckily, the lifeguard was right there, LOL!! I am so proud of how comfortable she has become in the water. Can't wait for Daddy to see!!

Like Father, Like Son

Cory is very proud of what his dad does. He's very much into the whole military lifestyle. He talks all the time about the military and how cool it all is. He's very motivated! He begged me to buy him his own set of cammies so as soon as we got home I took him to get his own. He's a spitting image of Jason in them!!

He's still so young but, as a mom, I can't help but wonder if this is what his future will be...

On the Road Again

The time finally came for us to make our way back to California. Jenn & her kids met up with us in Minnesota and we all headed back home. The drive back was a lot more enjoyable because we had them with us! We made a lot of great memories on our trip back and Jenny and I grew stronger with some of the things we endured! It's amazing what Marine Wives can do!!

Last Visit

We had our last visit to the Mall of America when Jenn and the kids came thru Minnesota. Her kids wanted to see what it was like in there so we took them to have a little fun before it was time to go home.
