Properly Remembered

Families and friends of the fallen gathered today to pay tribute. Words cannot express the feeling we felt today. Seeing the emotions that those closest to these men were feeling really made us realize how fortunate we are. These men made the ulitimate sacrifice and that sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Twenty men..the rifle, kevlar, boots, photo and dogtags stand in place of each one.

Placing the kevlar, then comes the boots... 21 Gun Salute
These are photos of those who gave their lives for us...

This was the interpreter.

God will forever be with these families. The sacrifice these men gave will never be forgotten, nor will the memories they gave each and everyone of us.

Ecclesiastes
3:1-11

There is a time
for everything, and a season for every activity under
heaven:

a time to be
born and a time to die,

a time to plant
and a time to uproot,

a time to kill
and a time to heal,

a time to tear
down and a time to build,

a time to weep
and a time to laugh,

a time to mourn
and a time to dance,

a time to
scatter and a time to gather them,

a time to
embrace and a time to refrain,

a time to search
and a time to give up,

a time to keep
and a time to throw away,

a time to tear
and a time to mend,

a time to be
silent and a time to speak,

a time to love
and a time to hate,

a time for war
and a time for peace.

What does the
worker gain from his toil? I have seen the burden God has laid on men. He
has made everything beautiful in it's time. He has also set eternity in
the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to
end.

Photo Shoot

Today I put Caitlyn in her birthday dress and took her out to do her birthday pictures. With help from Auntie Jenny we were able to get some good shots. She wasn't fully cooperating with us but I did get one shot that I absolutely loved! I can't believe our babygirl is turning 4 already!! She's growing up so fast. I will have another blog up after her party on Saturday so stay tuned....

Ballerina in Blue

After months of practice the girls finally had their Winter Recital yesterday. Caitlyn was so excited to do this one because she wanted to show Daddy how hard she had worked while he was gone. We invited all of our friends to come out and watch with us. Caitlyn did such a good job and she had so much fun! It's a joy to be able to watch her strut her stuff without any concern that close to a hundred people are watching! She is our little performer and we really look forward to the years. She did two routines again this year. A ballet routine and then a jazz routine. We also had the pleasure of watching Brittany do her dance...you can check her out on Jenny's blog! She did an amazing job as well. Brittany is the reason Caitlyn got into dance. She really looks up to her!!
Here is Caitlyn doing her ballet routine...
Here she is doing her bow...
Daddy and his little girl. He bought her flowers!
The Jazz routine
Caitlyn got flowers from Ashton!
We say best friends, they say married, LOL!!
Thank you to all of you who came out and watched! Caitlyn was so excited to see all of you there!! Caitlyn and Brittany...you both did such an amazing job!! We are very proud of both of you!!
