Arts & Crafts
Caiti has made a lot of friends here in the neighborhood but there is one friend she absolutely loves spending her time with. Whenever her and Avral get together this is what they love to do. Take all the art supplies out onto the driveway and go crazy with paint, beads, crayons, etc. It's so fun to listen to them giggle outside and then see all the little creations they make!
Overnight in 29
We all can't live in the same town as our best friend and sometimes some of us take advantage of living so close to the ones we love. I spent 3 years away from my best friend and now we are living 2 hours apart. It's not the same city but it's the same state! I will take every opportunity given to spend time with her because we never know where the Marine Corps will send our families next. So being that it was her birthday and her man is deployed...I packed up the kids and we headed up to Super Hot 29 Palms!! Even an overnight trip is wonderful when you spend it with such an amazing person! This girl is my best friend, my confidant and someone I know I can trust completely and I never have to worry about anything when I am with her. Her huge heart always puts me at ease and she never tries to out-do me, belittle me or crush my goals. She always makes me feel good about who I am and the things I do and always gives me great insight on any and every situation. She is there for me just as much as I am for her. We have eachothers backs thru everything. I am so lucky to have her as my best friend! Together we laugh. Together we cry. Best friends forever. Jessica and I.
Seeing as how 29 Palms is SUPER HOT, we decided to let the kids play at the new Splash Park on base before the kids and I headed back home. They had a good time but it didn't last long, haha...they were hungry and still hot even though they were playing in water! So we headed over to get lunch and then the kids and I went on our way. It was a nice visit as always and I can't wait till next time!

Fathers Day
"A truly rich man is one whose children run into his arms when his hands are empty."
Fathers Day isn't the only day Cory & Caitlyn show their Daddy just how much they love him but of course on this day he just gets a little extra love & attention! He sure deserves it. There is anything he wouldn't do for our children. No matter what, he gives them everything they need and surprises them often with the things they want. He always gives them positive and encouraging words to get thru rough days and never shows them when he is tired or stressed out. He puts them first and I love that about him. He never thinks twice about being the father that they need & deserve. He is strong, full of faith and so driven. I could not have asked for a better man to be a father to my children.

A French Delight
As a treat to the kids, Jay & I decided to take them to Round Table Pizza in Escondido. We were joined by the Alexander Family and after dinner we headed over to downtown Escondido to see Cruisin' Grand. As we walked down Grand Ave. Jay stopped me....we were at the French Bakery that we ordered our wedding cake from. A baker named Jacque in this quaint little bakery designed and made our wedding cake, almost 13 years ago! It was incredible being back there. I told Jay we need to go back on our anniversary and have some french desserts! :) Caiti took this picture of us outside the bakery!

Congratulations to my babies! Time to enjoy the Summer and then it's on the 2nd grade & 6th grade!!!! Love you both!
Proud Moment
Today, my son made me cry. I'm not typically the one to get all emotional and stuff...it takes a lot for me to cry but today when my son's name was called up for being on the Principals List, I cried. Cory has been doing so great in school...staying on the AB Honor Roll, Principals List, etc but I was so worried when we got here that he might fall behind. Moving to a new school so close to the end of the year is never easy but Cory did it again! I am always proud of him but today I was extra proud because even with the move in the middle of the school year, he kept his focus and did awesome!! He was also awarded the Citizenship Award!! He must get his brains from his daddy & his sweet kind nature from me! ha ha ha!!!
MOM & DAD ARE SO PROUD OF YOU SON! CONGRATS ON BECOMING A 6TH GRADER...YOU ARE GOING TO DO GREAT!!!
Pajama Day!
For the last day of school Caiti got to be lazy and wear her pajamas!! Her & Daddy picked out a special stuffed animal to take with her, along with her pillowpet & her blanket! So cute!
