One of my best friends lives about 2 1/2 hours away from us up here in the desert and she has the luxury of living very close to the beach so I had decided that since I had not seen her in a while and she just had a beautiful baby girl that it was time to make a trip down to visit her and the rest of her family. We decided to make it a beach day because of course we can't pass that up after being in the desert for so long! After the beach we had a BBQ with a few of their other friends. It was so nice to be able to spend some time with her, meet her lovely little babygirl and see the rest of her family. I just wish the day could have been longer!
Here are pictures from our day at the beach...
Me playing with Caitlyn, Gavin and Saveena
My best friend, Jessica and her daughter, Cadence
Caitlyn rolling around in the sand.
Saveena taking Gavin and Caitlyn in the water.
Cory stopped for a quick photo!
This is what we call documentation! For those that know me and Jess well you know that these two seen below DID NOT get along last deployment. There wasn't a time when Jess and I would be spending time together (which literally was 24/7) and these two weren't fighting, hitting or screaming at eachother! It made a lot of our times together very stressful at times so seeing them now actually getting along really caught Jess and I by surprise. I think we were both extremely thankful for this because it made the day that much more enjoyable!! Who would have thought these two would be making sand angels together?!?! LOL!!
Here is Gavin and Caitlyn playing some more
I buried Saveena in a hole!
Me and one of my favorite little pre-teens, Miss Saveena!!
Smiles and laughter between these two!!! What a blessing!
She just loves the beach...wish we lived closer to it!
Cory playing in the water with Roy (can't see him)
Gavin wanted us to bury him too!

Finally got to meet her and I love her!!!
Us again with Cadence
This day made me so happy, except for the being attacked by bees part, LOL!! I'm so glad Jess and Aaron were able to open their home to us for a few hours. The Rathbun family means a lot to our family. I can't wait to see you all again!!
They also live very close to the house I was pregnant with Cory in, our first home as a family of 3. I took Cory to see it and it brought back so many memories!!
