Gods Work

I was in awe when I stepped out of my car...I have never seen anything like this! The leaves covered the ground, the leaves were golden and the way the sun came through was absolutely beautiful! I just stood there for a minute and took a deep breath in and felt so warm. I walked through the park with my daughter enjoying every single moment. The beauty that God shares with us is incredible. His work is amazing and I am so thankful to be surrounded by all of it.

Happy Halloween

Our night of Trick or Treating almost did not happen. Caiti had a fever that hit just an hour before we left. I gave her medicine and she insisted on still going out. We decided to head over to base and do our trick or treating there. Most of you know we don't feel safe here in our neighborhood so we refused to let our kids go door to door here. I'm so glad we went on base! The kids and I are even more anxious now to get back into a military community!! The kids had a lot of fun and we felt very safe! We stayed out for about an hour and a half, the kids got tons of candy and we ran into a lot of people Daddy works with! It was a pretty quiet Halloween compared to past ones with our friends. The kids enjoyed themselves even though they didn't have any of their friends around. I think they are slowly becoming very dependent on themselves and each other. I'm always happy to see my children enjoy themselves whether they are with their friends or it's just them two together! I have some really amazing kids!!

21-14...Go Tigers!!!

So Cory did it! He finished up his first season of tackle football and he really impressed us! We thought we'd be walking away mid season because Cory didn't like it but he truly enjoyed this whole season, everything he learned and everyone he met! The Tigers weren't the best team around but the always played their hardest and never let their losses get the best of them! It was a lot of fun to watch these boys play their hearts out!! They all knew what they had to do and did it to the best of their ability! Cory really enjoyed the positions he played and always did his best. Him and his Dad really bonded thru this whole experience. It was a blessing to watch them do what some fathers and sons take for granted. Cory has always wanted his dad to be a part of the sports he plays but with deployments it's been rough. We're very thankful Jay was here to go thru all of this with Cory!!

Way to end the season, TIGERS!!!

I got this for you...

Cory and Gracie have had a little crush on each other since they first met in Miss Day's 2nd grade class. They were really excited when they learned we were moving to the same state after California! Unfortunately, they do not attend the same school here but they do get to see each other every now and then. Well, over time the little crush they have on each other has grown. Cory has little girls chasing him around at school but continues to tell them he already has a girlfriend named Gracie. Gracie says the same about Cory so the feeling is mutual, ha ha! While at Chuck E. Cheese they all won tickets and got prizes. Well, Cory and Gracie both got something for one another. Cory got Gracie a bracelet and Gracie got Cory a Chuck E. Cheese jumper toy. The ordeal for them to exchange them was hysterical!! They each whispered into our ears..."my tummy feels funny" It was so cute!!! It took them about 15 minutes before Rob told Gracie to go up in the play equipment so everyone wasn't around, ha ha! She did and Cory followed....duh duh duh!!! In this picture below if you look carefully you can see two hands...one is Cory's and one is Gracie's. They are exchanging their gifts for each other, ha ha!!! Once they did that they rushed back down to us, LOL!!! This was one of the cutest moments ever and I just can't believe my little boy has a girlfriend! It's adorable!

Another Maddie, Another Birthday!

Last weekend we celebrated, according to Caiti, Maddie-Cousins birthday and last night we celebrated, according to Caiti, Maddie-Friends birthday! Maddie turned 5 and we missed her birthday party because we were up in NY celebrating another Maddie's birthday (cunfusing? LOL). So we were invited to join them for dinner at Chuck E. Cheese on Maddie's actual birthday. The kids had so much fun together. Caiti picked a cute little baby doll for Maddie and an outfit to go with it. We were really glad to be a part of her birthday. She is such a sweet little girl as is her older sister, Gracie. They are a wonderful family all around!
