He's such a Lugnut!!

Cory finally started his T-Ball season! He was so excited to get started and after many cancellations by the sports people here he finally got to begin doing what he has waited so long for.

He had his first practice in April after they got off of Spring Break and his first game soon thereafter. His first practice was a little shaky. He was nervous. Whenever he starts something there is always a little hesitation but his coach was so understanding and got Cory to realize how much fun he is going to have!! Once he got the feel for it he was in it to win it!!!

Of course we had to go out and buy him a new glove because he was so excited about his first game. His team did so well! I believe they made 2 outs in their very first game...which doesn't really make any bit of difference in T-Ball but to the coach and the kids it was a huge deal! The kids really got into the game. It was a joy to watch.

I took on the role of "Dugout Mom" and according to the coach that is the hardest job in the game, hahaha!! Thanks for telling me after the fact, ha! Cory was so excited I stepped up and took the job. I get to sit with the kids in the dugout and make sure they don't run onto the field until they are up to bat and that they have a helmet on before leaving the dugout. I make sure they get plenty of water and they are ready to go when they are up to bat or when it's our turn to go in the outfield. The kids have warmed up to me. I enjoy doing it and Cory enjoys getting to talk to me throughout the game. I got a team shirt out of the deal which was nice! I wear it every week at our games!

GO
LUGNUTS!!!

We are already almost over with this season. Cory has about 4 more games to attend and then he will be done with T-Ball and ready to start the next sport!
Oh I can't wait, hahahah!
