A Breath of Fresh Air

This past weekend Jay and I took a trip down to Camp Pendleton to visit our friends Aaron and Jessica. The day almost didn't happen and I would have been devestated if it didn't. Jay said it best when he said "I can see how Jess can be a breath of fresh air for you" It's true...she is! She is one of my very best friends!! Everytime we get together it's nothing but good times!! We don't get a lot of time together due to distance and more important things in life like family so when we get the chance to spend a day together, it really is like a breath of fresh air! She and I always sit and talk about all the good times we've had and the crazy things we've been thru! I really am going to miss her when we are thousands of miles away!!!

We started off the day by going to lunch at TGiFridays. We hauled in all of our children and enjoyed lunch while talking about goodtimes!

After lunch, we decided to head over to Boomers to let the kids have some fun. We spent a good amount of time there and the kids had an absolute blast!! They went on bumper boats, road the go karts, played lasertag, went in the batting cages and then played video games for hours!! We helped win some tickets and the kids got their goodies when we were done.

I'm so glad we were able to spend the time we spent with our friends. We ended up spending the night because it got so late. We stayed up after the kids went to bed talking about more good times and have some really good laughs...mainly at Jessica's expense, LOL!!! We stayed on their pull out bed and the minute I laid my head down it brought back so many memories...the kids and I used to sleep on that same bed when the guys were gone to Iraq. I laid there thinking of all the wonderful memories Jess and I have shared. I'm so glad to have met her and I'm glad our friendship blossomed the way it did. We share a bond that can never be broken.
