Update on Caitlyn

When we took Caiti to Walter Reed for her appointment the doctor saw the skin on Caiti's chest/arm/back areas. She was a little concerned with what it was exactly and didn't want to make any assumptions herself so she referred us to see a dermatologist in Alexandria, VA. Her appointment was just last week and I got a little bit of info there but still don't have solid answers as to what it is exactly. The doctor she saw says it looks like possible Hypomelanosis of ITO. However, I don't seem to think this is what we are dealing with. The doctor recommended that we see a Pediatric Dermatologist at Washington DC Childrens Hospital. She said it's quite a long wait for appointments so I'm not sure as to when I'll have another update but I really don't think it'll be a bad update. Caiti has no other symptoms associated with this possible disease which has me looking on the brighter side of things!!
